Opis produktu
An excellent raw material for preparing substrates in horticultural crops with full possibility of individually shaping both the acidity and fertilization levels. It perfectly improves the structure of weak, heavy and draining soils. In addition, acidic peat is a carbon-rich addition to composts. It provides easily decomposable organic matter and facilitates air access to the deeper layers of compost, thus optimizing the processes of humus formation.

Composition and properties
The package contains high milling peat.
How to use
Preparing the substrate
- Remove the peat from the packaging and loosen it.
- Prepare the remaining components of the substrate, such as: fertilizer, bark, compost, in amounts adapted to the expected capacity of the substrate and in accordance with the cultivation requirements of the plants.
- Use the obtained substrate in accordance with the planned method of growing plants.
Improving soil properties
- Sprinkle peat evenly on the soil surface in a peat/soil ratio of at least 1:2.
- Add a deacidifying substance (e.g. chalk, dolomite).
- Mix (dig) the peat with the soil.
- Check the soil pH.
Recommendations
- It is recommended not to use a previously used substrate as an admixture when preparing substrates.
- Peat does not contain fertilizer, and the amount of nutrients in it is trace and insufficient for growing plants. Therefore, when preparing a growing substrate, it is recommended to add fertilizer to the peat and then fertilize the plants. Fertilizers should be used strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and in accordance with the requirements of the cultivated plants.
- Peat is acidic. When preparing a growing medium intended for plants other than acid-loving plants, the peat should be deacidified to the pH level required by these plants by adding deacidifying fertilizers, e.g. chalk, lime, dolomite.
- To permanently improve the soil structure, peat should be supplied regularly every year.
