Properties:

• Belcanto is a new winter triticale characterized by record-high yields in Poland and Germany.
• No. 1 in yield in 2016-2018!
• It has very good adaptive properties to various climatic and soil conditions.
• It works best on medium quality soils - class IVa and IVb.
• Medium early variety with very good disease resistance. It has a record high resistance to stem base diseases, yellow and brown rust, snow mold and ear fusarium.
• No. 1 in disease resistance!
• Belcanto has a very good winter hardiness, rated at 5.5 on a scale of 90.
• In addition, it is a variety with medium straw length and high resistance to lodging.
• It shows one of the highest resistance to grain sprouting in the spike.
• It is characterized by beautiful, thick grain (MTZ approx. 45 g.) with very good uniformity, density and high protein content - approx. 11%.
• Triticale with very good tillering ability. The sowing rate in optimal sowing conditions is 300-340 germinating seeds per m2, i.e. ca. 140-160 kg/ha.
