Loosened Coconut Chips 5L

Biovita coconut chips are a natural product created by grinding coconut shells and coconut fibers. It is free from any chemical additives. It can be used as a stand-alone substrate or as a complement to other substrates. Mixed with the soil, it loosens and aerates it.

Chips and coconut fiber are used, among others, as substrates in terrariums, aquariums, animal husbandry and crops.

Coconut chips are an ideal and recommended substrate for growing orchids.

Advantages

• they are lighter than peat,
• they absorb water well (regulate water management, coconut fibers behave like a sponge),
• they absorb nutrients well with water and release them gradually,
• facilitate root development,

Coconut chips themselves do not contain many nutrients, so if they are used to grow plants, it is recommended to combine them with organic fertilizer.
