Properties:
Tybalt wheat has been on the Dutch Recommended List since 2004, and since its registration in Poland (2005) it has been a benchmark in PDO research and one of the highest-yielding spring wheat varieties in Poland. The health and yield accuracy, unheard of in other varieties, mean that of all 38 varieties, Tybalt in cultivation accounts for over 24% of the entire spring wheat market in Poland (according to PIORIN 2015). The variety has maintained this result continuously for 10 years, and it is an undeniable success in breeding Wiersum Plantbreeding B.V.
Tybalt also has a very strong position in Western Europe, it is recommended in Great Britain (HGCA 2015-2016), the Netherlands (CSAR) and Germany (BSA), which makes it easy to find buyers in these countries. Tybalt is a reliable and versatile variety - for many years number 1 on the European market.
