- Multi-component, mineral fertilizer intended for top dressing of blueberries in the first year after planting and in subsequent years of cultivation.
Multi-component, mineral soil fertilizer, intended for top dressing of blueberries in the first year after planting and in subsequent years of cultivation. An important advantage of Florovit for blueberries is its ability to acidify the soil, which clearly promotes the growth and development of plants requiring a low substrate pH. It is also characterized by the absence of nitrates. Blueberries are planted in autumn in a substrate with a pH of 3.8 - 4.8. Plants grown in a substrate with too high a pH are characterized by small increments and premature yellowing and leaf fall. The fertilizer prevents leaf chlorosis during the growing season of plants. In addition, it uses forms of nutrients that are poorly mobile in the soil, which protects them from being washed out into the groundwater.
How to use
Blueberries. Top dressing begins in spring at the beginning of plant growth, usually in mid-April. The second and third fertilization should be carried out every four weeks thereafter. It is recommended to finish feeding the plants by June 15. The fertilizer should be gently mixed with the soil after spreading around the plant. It is also recommended to water the plants. Doses: first year after planting - three times 20 g/m2, total 60 g/year; subsequent years of cultivation - three times 30-35 g/m2, total approx. 100 g/year.
Rhododendrons. Similarly to blueberries, 25-50 g of fertilizer is used per plant before vegetation during planting (mixing it with 25-50 l of soil from the hole), and in subsequent years the fertilizer is spread under the crown in early spring: in the first year in March approx. 20 g and in April approx. 20 g; in the second year in March approx. 25 g and in April approx. 25 g; in subsequent years in March approx. 30 g and in April approx. 30 g.
Azaleas and heathers. Before vegetation, mix with the soil in which the plant is planted, ~ 10 g of fertilizer per 10 l of soil. In subsequent years, in early spring (April), spread approx. 10 g of fertilizer under the crown on the soil surface and water abundantly. In the case of larger plants (3-4 years old and older), fertilization is repeated after 2-3 months in the same dose. In container cultivation, the dose of 1 g of fertilizer per liter of substrate should not be exceeded.
Ferns and conifers. These plants can be fertilized with Florovit for blueberries before vegetation and top dressing, if the soil is not acidic enough - soil pH above 6. Before vegetation, approx. 10 g of fertilizer is spread per plant and mixed with the soil with 10-20 l of soil. In subsequent years, approx. 10 g of fertilizer is spread under the crown in early spring. The top dressing dose of fertilizer for conifers depends on the age of the plant: it is increased to 20 g when the plant reaches 0.5 m in height; up to 40 g when the plant reaches 1 m in height; up to 60 g when the plant reaches 2 m in height. One tablespoon contains an average of 10 g of fertilizer.
