Sterlux 5L cactus substrate

Aloes, agaves, spurges, crassulas, etc. can be successfully grown in the substrate.

How to use

• Prepare a clean pot with drainage holes.
• Place a layer of drainage at the bottom of the pot, e.g. gravel or pebbles.
• Fill the pot halfway with the substrate and then gently place the plant in it.
• Fill the pot with substrate to a height of 1.5 cm below its edge.
• Press the substrate carefully, taking care not to damage the roots.

Recommendations

• Do not use as an admixture to a previously used substrate.
• To reduce the risk of rotting the roots of cacti that may have been damaged during planting, do not water the plants for several days after planting. Then, it is recommended to water the plants sparingly, adjusting the water dose to the sunlight and ambient temperature. Too much watering causes the roots to rot, which leads to the death of the entire plant.
• The substrate contains a starting dose of fertilizer, so it is recommended to start regularly fertilizing the plants about four weeks after planting.
• Fertilizers should be used strictly according to the manufacturer's instructions and in accordance with the requirements of the cultivated plants (rich in potassium).
• Plants should be provided with very good sunlight.

Composition and properties

The substrate was prepared on the basis of high milling peat, deacidified with chalk. Contains bark and sand and a starting dose of multi-component fertilizer.
