Characteristic:
The BOBAS variety of horse bean is characterized by a very good yielding potential. It works well in the conditions of the Polish climate. BOBAS is a variety with an average MTN, high protein yield and low fiber content.
BOBAS is a variety with high uniformity of ripening. The seeds of this variety of horse beans are beige in color. In years with high amounts of rainfall and the related possibility of uneven maturation, bean beans require desiccation before harvesting. Harvesting of the BOBAS variety of horse bean should be carried out at seed moisture content of 16 to 19% in order to reduce losses due to the possibility of seeds breaking.
The variety of horse bean BOBAS is highly competitive in the face of emerging secondary weed infestation. Due to the high and stiff stem, this variety is also highly resistant to lodging.
The BOBAS variety is characterized by good health. It is highly resistant to ascochytosis, horse bean rust and chocolate blotch. When growing horse beans, it is worth monitoring the presence of beetroot aphid and bean pods.
