Product Characteristics
Acid peat in a bale is the perfect solution for every plant producer and gardener who values convenience, quality, and naturalness. It is used in the cultivation of acid-loving plants, such as: azaleas, rhododendrons, heather, blueberries, or hydrangeas.
Acid peat is characterized by a natural pH in the range of 2.8 to 4.5, which provides optimal conditions for the growth and development of plants requiring an acidic environment.
Brown peat (class H3-H4) - binds better and retains water longer than light peat (class H2). For sown seeds or pricked seedlings, proper soil moisture is very important, therefore brown peats and substrates are mainly used in short-term crops, for example, vegetable or flower crops. It is also used in mixtures with light peat.
Peat comes in two fractions:
- Fraction 0-20 mm: Ideal for growing plants in containers, pots, etc.
- Fraction 0-40 mm: Contains small, medium, and large peat particles, making it ideal for growing in larger containers and containers.
