The sugar in 50% molasses is a direct source of energy for horses - the so-called "quick energy". If your horse is working a lot, it is imperative that his solid forage includes sugar as an energy source. Horse molasses is also a source of valuable minerals: potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, copper, iron, manganese and zinc.
