Plant breeding: IGP
Moschus wheat was registered in Poland in 2019 and is the first ever western variety entered in the register in quality group E. It is distinguished by the highest quality parameters of grain and a very high yield potential. It is also characterized by very good health, especially high tolerance to powdery mildew, for which it received the highest possible score in BSA. Wheat also shows low susceptibility to other diseases such as yellow rust and ear fusariosis. Moschus forms medium-tall plants, therefore it has no special problems with lodging. In the case of very intensive cultivation for which it is intended, it is recommended to properly control the height of the canopy. The plant habit is very characteristic: evenly set ears are slightly more raised than the hidden flag leaf. Its low deposition is extremely important for the course of photosynthesis and means greater safety in the event of intense sunlight.
