PLANTING
Crocus tubers should be planted from September to November. Plant the onions to a depth of about 5-10 cm. The distance between the tubers should be 10-15 cm. They look the best when planted in groups of a few, a dozen or even several dozen. Having grown in the same place for several years, they form dense clumps. They are planted under trees and shrubs, on the banks of flower beds and in rock gardens. We can also grow crocuses in containers and boxes.
CARE
We feed the crocuses with multi-component fertilizers 2-3 times during the period of intensive growth. If they grow on a lawn, remember to wait for the crocus leaves to dry before mowing the grass for the first time.
STORAGE
They are dug out every 3-4 years, usually at the beginning or mid-June, but you should wait for the leaves to dry out. After digging, they should be dried at a temperature of 20-25 ° C, then cleaned and the nodal tubers should be separated. The cleaned tubers are stored in a ventilated place until planting.
