POSITION
Tulips bloom best in a sunny location. Also surrounded by deciduous trees and shrubs, as they usually bloom before the plants have fully developed leaves. Tall and medium varieties work well in garden beds. We also plant low varieties in rock gardens and in containers
SOIL
As for soil conditions, light and fertile soils are the best for this plant. An important factor is the permeability of the substrate.
PLANTING
Tulip bulbs are planted in the fall (September to November) so that they have time to take root. The tulips are planted at a depth of about 12 cm. After planting, water abundantly.
CARE
We feed them until flowering with multi-component fertilizers. It is important that the soil is not too dry. We supply the tulips with water until the leaves start to dry out. Watering is very important as it is the bulbs that regenerate after flowering and gather the right supplies to be able to bloom just as beautifully next year.
STORAGE
The tulips are dug up after the leaves have dried, usually at the turn of June and July. We dry, then clean and store in baskets in a dry and airy place. Tulips can remain in the garden without digging up for several years.
