The moisture content of the ensiled mass attracts the transparent underlay film to the silage, which allows anaerobic fermentation to proceed without interruption. Thanks to the use of a backing film, after opening and starting to feed the fodder, the air has difficult or impossible access to the stored batch. In addition, it protects the silage at the side walls as well as at the points of contact between the silage and the silo, prevents water and air from entering.
