The BINGO oat variety entered into the national register in 2009 caused considerable confusion on the market of oat varieties, as its yielding potential significantly exceeds the varieties present on the Polish market. In 2009, the difference in yield between BINGO and the lowest-yielding variety was as much as 2.1 t / ha in favor of BINGO, in 2010 the difference was 1.64 t / ha (COBORU PDO experiments, region II). The BINGO variety tested in PDO yielded the highest of all varieties, reaching in 2010 and 2011 as the only result above 100% of the standard. From the moment of registration in the National Register, the BINGO variety is the highest-yielding oat variety in Poland!
BINGO is in many respects a unique variety, because apart from the highest yielding potential, it is also distinguished by the highest weight of 1000 grains and the lowest share of husk in a grain, therefore the difference in the yield of grain without husk is even higher in favor of the Bingo variety. Radzików, conducted as part of the topic "Search for oat forms with high nutritional values", the BINGO variety was characterized by the highest content of dietary fiber and a high index of bioactive values. ß-glucan has a protective function in the body and prevents the development of coronary artery disease, non-insulin-dependent diabetes and some neoplastic diseases. Due to the high content of bioactive substances in BINGO, it is an irreplaceable source of high-value grain, ideal for consumption.
BINGO is a grateful variety to cultivate. Straw is very stiff, and the early date of panning and maturing makes it perfect for cereal mixtures. The resistance to individual diseases is estimated at the level of 7.5 - 8.0, which guarantees very high health of the field throughout the growing season.
Due to its undeniable advantages, BINGO is the oat variety most often recommended by COBORU for cultivation in Poland.
