How to use
1. Let's start with the basics
Repot your plants at least every 2 years, because over time the soil loses its positive properties and the growing root ball needs room to grow. For planting, prepare a pot with a diameter slightly larger (about 2 cm) than the diameter of the root ball. A pot that is too large will not be suitable. The pot or container should have drainage holes to drain excess water.
2. Prepare the substrate
Before planting the plant, mix and loosen the structure of the substrate to break up any lumps. It is worth adding a drainage layer at the bottom of the pot (e.g. a few small pebbles or expanded clay), then fill 1/3 of the pot with substrate, forming a funnel-shaped depression in the middle.
3. We are finally planting
Remove the plant from the old pot, slightly loosen the root ball and remove the dead roots. Place the plant's root ball in the depression, pressing gently until it is below the rim of the pot. If the root ball protrudes above the pot, remove some of the soil or change the pot to a larger one.
4. An important finale
Cover the root ball thoroughly with the remaining soil, while gently pressing it deeper to fill all the empty spaces and stabilize the entire plant. Make sure the plant is planted vertically because a tilted plant will not look aesthetically pleasing.
5. Don't forget
After planting, water the plant abundantly with water so that the soil settles and adheres well to the roots. The substrate contains a starting dose of nutrients, so you can apply the first fertilization after about 8 weeks.
